The Shared World

A sense, and, too

a space

of union and ubiquity,

like the constant hum of clouds

that hew and gallop

through the blue,

mirrors

the rush of the sea

and of trees,

seduced by the wind

and by the axis’ tilt,

that murmur

that call and respond

       call and respond

call

it a truth,

meaning and purpose

in sync,

infinitesimally huge,

like ants as plentiful as stars

or the masses of salt in the sea

flavor to the water and the shore,

bounded by the tug of air

                        molten at the fringe

                        molten at the core.
